About Nordic Folklore continues Darkplace’s artistic vision—this time digging into the psyche of ancient terror. The music remains deeply cinematic, but leans further into atmospheric tension and blackened ambiance. Fans of acts like Ulver, Swans, and early The Cure will find themselves in familiar yet disorienting territory.

Darkplace – About Nordic Folklore
Released March 6th via Icons Creating Evil Art
(Darkwave / Blackmetal / Nordic Folklore )
Fans of acts like Ulver, Swans, Lunedi, Die Tödin and Horndal will find themselves in familiar yet disorienting territory.
LIVE SET
Presented as a unified audiovisual work, Darkplace’s live set places the music within its visual universe. Animated music videos are projected throughout the performance, creating a cinematic backdrop that evolves with each song. Two performers occupy the foreground, using bowed guitar as the primary instrument to build droning, emotive soundscapes. The live set becomes a moving installation — part concert, part visual narrative.
